Company History
Sarcos Incorporated is a privately held Utah corporation founded by S.C. Jacobsen in 1983. Sarcos' original objective was to conduct focused development projects in collaboration with the Center for Engineering Design (CED) at the University of Utah. Before 1992, the Sarcos organization focused primarily on conducting complex research and development projects, with business operations intentionally managed to permit only moderate growth. In 1992, as a result of the maturation of a number of development projects, Sarcos decided to substantially accelerate its business operations. To accomplish this goal, Sarcos broadened its corporate focus to include internal business units as well as contract research and development groups. |
