The center was established to provide manufacturing technology extension services designed to assist small manufacturing companies, to bridge the gap between new product concepts and manufacturing realization, and to develop innovative technologies which will result in products, patents, and related economic benefits for the state. The center went on to become Utah's Manufacturing Extension Partnership. Center News
