A spin-out from the Center for Genetic Improvement in Livestock, LMRD performed genetic testing on sheep to detect spyder-lamb syndrome. This common defect caused defective limbs in sheep and these tests were used to detect carrier animals in breeding stock. The test is still used today. Company News
