A spin-out from the Center for Computer Graphics and Scientific Visualization Engineering Geometry Systems was acquired in 2005 by Delcam PLC and renamed Delcam USA. Delcam Group is the largest CAM-focused company in the world.  Delcam USA develops and markets FeatureCAM CAD/CAM software, which combines powerful feature-based technology with ease of use.

Engineering Geometry Systems was founded in 1986 by the Center Director and partners. The company grew to $3.5 million in revenue with 22 full time employees before being acquired in 2005 by Delcam PLC. Engineering Geometry Systems became Delcam USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delcam PLC. The company has since grown its Utah business to 35 employees with an average salary of $100,000.
