The Center for Scientific Computing Imaging, SCI, developed the SCIRun technology, which provides scientists and engineers with a new model for scientific computing.  The model uses graphic interfaces and 3D graphics to provide a visual program for solving complex problems.  Previously three separate programs had to be used.  SCIRun incorporated the programs into one.
