The Video Conferencing Task Force is charged with the responsibility of reviewing the State's current videoconferencing system for health and non-health purposes, along with the current UEN network that reaches to all rural education entities, as well as the University of Utah's telemedicine network. The goal is to have one of the country's best video conferencing based, collaborative telemedicine network to serve the rural communities of Utah that most effectively utilize the existing infrastructure that has been paid for by tax payers. This network will enable the State of Utah and the University of Utah to provide a strong telemedicine network to the entire state as well as help recruit and retain top medical specialists to the State who can reach out to the rural communities. The Task force membership consists of individuals from industry and government.
