The Pioneer Communities/Main Street Program provides hands-on assistance to help your community address the broad range of issues that affect downtown's physical and economic health, including:
- enhancing the value of downtown real estate
- improving downtown's overall appearance
- promoting downtown in an increasingly competitive environment
- identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for business growth
The services offered by the Pioneer Communities/Main Street Program are designed to be flexible to meet your community's unique needs--from workshops to "ad hoc" guidance on specific projects to long-term, comprehensive training, technical assistance, and funding based on the Main Street Approach.
Training and technical assistance are provided by the Main Street Team, a multi-disiplinary "consulting group" that includes public and private-sector experts in:
- Building rehabilitation
- Streetscape and public improvement planning and design
- Marketing and promotion planning and implementation
- Business development planning and implementation
- Organizational development
